64-bit Krita "portable"...

Post by mikewalsh »

Evening, all.

Here's a totally 'portable' 64-bit Krita for you artistic types.

This isn't the very newest release. That currently stands at v4.4.7, and is incredibly fussy; it will ONLY run under Fossapup64 or newer. This is based around the somewhat older v3.3.3, but this has the advantage that it'll run under pretty much all 64-bit Puppies.....sole exception, perhaps, Tahrpup64. Which IS getting quite long in the tooth now.

As with other recent portables, it's built around an AppImage, along with scripts to keep the config stuff self-contained after the first run, just sym-linking it out to the expected locations at runtime.....and other scripts to allow the adding of a MenuEntry (if required) from wherever it's located. The "MenuReadMe" explains how it works.

For anyone interested, you can find it at my MEGA a/c, here:-

Enjoy..!

Mike. ;)

Seems to run fine on Debian Dog Stretch.
