How do I open remote http images with image veiwer?

I use Xnview as my default image viewer. Is there a way to open a local network file like
http://192.168.1.64/sd/20210731/images0 ... 003000.jpg
with an image viewer?

It is the sd card in my IP camera. I can open the link / image fine with a web browser even when I am not logged into the camera.
What I would like to be able to do is open the directory http://192.168.1.64/sd/20210731/images000 with a viewer so I can easily use the next/back in Xnview to look for activity.

Is there a way to add user and password in terminal commands for an image browser? I am always getting "File does not exist" when I try to access the folder or direct linked image on the sd card on the camera.

Are you still talking about viewing the SD card through your web browser?

Have you tried refreshing the browser?

Has the camera changed its IP address?

I found that the videos are not a problem with MPV. I just drag and drop them on my desktop shortcut and they play for the most part. The images , jpgs don't react the same way. I have seen that certain file names or characters are not allowed with XnView like : etc. They open fine in palemoon but it would be nice to be able to scroll through them.
And yes I gave set a static ip address.

Just to be clear: you are trying to drag a link from your web browser into a viewer app on your desktop?

I expect that this works with MPV because it is designed to play remote streams.

I don't think that XnView can do this.

BTW, what does this have to do with passwords?

Yes, the directory is password protected, user / password. I have to log in with a web browser to access the directory.
When the .264 video files are clicked, the web browser tells me it is a bin file and asks if I want to save, although they open fine in mpv with drag and drop.

The .jpg images open fine in a web browser, click the link and the, back to the directory.
If I copy them to a local drive they work normally.
When I copy them (Drag and drop) it appears to do so in terminal, I am guessing via http ? it copies so fast though I only see a blip.

All the image browsers I have tried so far cannot find the files on the cameras sd card.

If your camera was running a samba server instead of an http server, this would be possible. But it's not.

ALSO, all modern PUPs come with SAMBA built in.

If your camera has the ability to run a SAMBA (SMB) client, it can connect to your PUP and you can transfer info in both directions, from your camera to your heart's delight.

Look for it on your camera or on apps for your camera.

P.S. Without the ability on your camera, you manufacturer's design intends for you to transfer by moving the SD card back and forth.
