Has anyone installed the Searx search engine?

Post by vtpup »

Has anyone installed the Searx search engine in Tahrpup or Bionicpup?

Just curious, if you have, how you did, and what your impressions of it are.....

Thanks!

interesting project. there seem to folks making their installs publicly available, so one can at least give it a try without installing. I like it so far

Did you find any compiled binaries? I only find source here

I haven't found Pup compatible binaries yet Williwaw. I did try the public server version, and found it a bit cluttered and confusing -- but maybe I'm not used to it. Also, maybe a personally-hosted version would look or act differently, and/or is customizable in appearance or results, so I was just curious if anyone else had experience with it. Or had implemented a puppy version.
