Ryzen 9 5900X with 3D V-Cache technology providing an average of 15% more performance across a broad spate of games at 1080p. That includes titles like Dota 2, Monster Hunter World, League of Legends, and Fortnite.

The future has finally arrived  ! Only it is kind of gloomy.
But we are all running to buy at least a regular Ryzen 9 5900X :) In my town, only 722 "dead presidents" need to be paid for it :) At the same time, the salary of an ordinary resident of the town is 3 times less than this amount, well, nothing, hunger is useful :)

Fossapup OS, Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, 64 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB, Sound Blaster Audigy Rx with amplifier + Yamaha speakers for loud sound, USB Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro V3 + headphones for quiet sound.

Next step... stack the GPU on the base MPU then the 32Gb mem. Rather Borg-ish.

Money talks... no, it shouts, so that it doesn't have to hear common sense.

I'm on Team Blue cuz it proves to be the better "all-around" (multi-dimensional) performer than the Team Red (so far):

- Cooler (less heat-related issues)
- Less configuration hassles in BIOS (full-blown performance outta the box, "noob friendly")
- More predictable/consistent performance (as per my chat with a local gaming company's lab guy)
- Longevity (long-term reliability) over bells and whistles

Note:
- I'll go for AMD CPU only when I have budget issue
- Team Red is only getting better on those aspects though

A powerful processor, but one I can't dream of yet. With my configuration I can only play browser games, wild life slot , or games before 2010 :)

To be fair, I must admit that before 2010, tons of great games came out. For example, I'm going to replay Syberia by Benoît Sokal (in Fossapup with Wine). First and second. But the third part, I did not even dare to start - my friends, the same fans of quests/adventures, say that I will ruin the impression of the first two.

There is bias in every point. Because NOTHING is compared to NOTHING :) No specific models.
"The old lady on the bench near the house said that her grandson is the best in the world - he will live longer than all other people's grandchildren, he is the smartest and most beautiful - because MY!"

I want to try AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU + MSI B450-A PRO MAX motherboard.

CPU comparison is not just benchmark (that's why I used "dimension" term).
My personal experience in taking care of 10 gaming computers at a cafe (2006-2016) is the proof.
Intel was and still is the better one than the single-dimensional "benchmark is everything" AMD.

Okay, let's assume AMD has the best benchmark:

1. Does it consistently perform or deliver it?
2. What about later time? Will it still perform consistently over time?
3. What the maintenance (late-coming issues like having to replace the thermal paste, fans, etc due to the ever hell raising temp)?
4. How much time did you have to burn to achieve that?

I don't buy paper nor plastic. Some people do.
I buy the experience.

Here is the answer. This is your PERSONAL experience. In one cafe you will be a hero, and near another you may be beaten up - they may have a DIFFERENT experience :)

But about the budget, you are absolutely right - now all the peasants are running to buy Ryzen junior models. Grand Duke will buy something more expensive :)

I never try to play hero in this life, a game where nobody wins.
I chose Intel to run my business and it worked better than AMD did.
The business proved to have helped feed some other families, not just mine.

Btw, if that's what you meant by "hero", then I'll gladly take it as a compliment, Grey.

Anyway, there will always be Team Blue, Team Red, and Team White ...
