The Brave browser has finally got a built-in proprietary search engine. "The only independent search engine that gives users control and confidence." Ha ha ha! Well, will we believe them?! Personally, I am already sick of the expressions "super protected" and "independent".
However, you can view and use it without Brave itself 
- you can go to the page https://search.brave.com/ in any other browser

I have three accounts (at least):
- "Dr Jekyll"
- "Mr Hyde"
- "Ms Me"
Dr Jekyll is a "google lover", so he uses google, gmail, etc.
Mr Hyde is a "google hater", so he uses VPN and anything but google's
Miss Me is "neutral", so she knows how and when to use or not use whatever on the table
It's not trust or distrust, but sanity.

I don't trust Brave and perhaps never will, they've only ever mistreated their users after all
