How to Add to the "Default App Chooser List"

Post by sonny »

Hello,
I just installed Adobe Acrobat Reader.
How do I add it to the list of "Default Applications Chooser"?
Very much appreciated!

This may depend on the version of Puppy you are using.
This program has been improved over the years.

If Adobe Acrobat Reader made a workable menu entry.
That usually gets it into the selection drop down list.
Run fixmenus, in a terminal, may be needed.
And or a reboot, after you installed Adobe Acrobat Reader.

If not there, you can write it into the selection input slot.
Usually the name of the exec file, that runs the program.
Not totally sure if that would be adobe or something similar.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

Yes, Adobe Acrobat Reader is on the menu but nowhere to be found on PDF viewer's list but "Autodetect", "evince", and "qpdfview" in the "Default Applications Chooser" dialog box.
