I didn't see it in options.

Does ROX support 'same window' folder opening?
If you middle-click the refresh icon, a new Rox window will open, at the same location as the first window.
For example, if you middle-click the refresh icon of a window showing /usr/share/, a second window showing /usr/share/ will open.
If that is what you mean.
Middle-clicking the Home icon will popup a new window showing $HOME, your home dir.
Middle-clicking the Parent dir (up-arrow) icon will popup a new window showing the parent dir.
For example, middle-clicking the Parent icon of a window showing /usr/share/ will popup a 2nd window showing /usr/
Middle-clicking a folder (dir) icon in a Rox window will pop up a window showing that folder.
Middle-clicking a file will open that file and close the Rox window.
Not sure if i understand your question right...
In ROX-Options -> Filer windows untick "New window on button 1" to open folder in the same window.
How does middle clicking happen with two buttons (L/R)?
"New window on button 1" is checked and I haven't noticed a difference yet. Left click on folder/partition opens a new window. Right click is menu like usual.

If your mouse doesn't have a scroll wheel, then clicking both mouse buttons simultaneously will simulate scroll-wheel-click.

This post was from Tahr. Xenial is working same-window. Hopefully it's just a setting.
If not, I will try 'clicking' on the scroll wheel. Thanks.
