I compiled this on fatdog, its very easy. And it works well.
example scan
Code: Select all
w_scan2 -c GB -M -f t >> /root/.mplayer/channels.conf
in console for options type
Code: Select all
w_scan2 --help

Hello stemsee
I could do with a little advice on its use. Like what do I do to add it to vlc and are these scans for internet channels or
do I need a dvb receiver. And is vlc on xenial64 ok.
@stemsee I just found my unused ATSC USB TV-Radio stick; MyGica model U5072.
Its directions, of course, is 4Windows, but would like to try its use on PUPPY. If I connect it to my FATDOG or my Slacko64 V8.0... can you or someone walk me thru PC system discovery and local channel use?
Is this simple?

Here's a thread from the old forum on that.

VLC doesn't like to run as root. There are a couple of different work arounds for that, but just be aware.
Thanks stemsee that explains what it is for. I do not have a usb tuner at present only a dvb box, Sunray4.
It has usb but only for programming it.
If I get a usb tuner I will be back.
Thanks for answering.
