Re: Attachments - allowed file types?
@rockedge Did you change this?
This is the message I get now:
I still have to figure out how to create a 0px imageThe image must be at least 0 pixels wide, 0 pixels high and at most 640 pixels wide and 480 pixels high. The submitted image is 640 pixels wide and 853 pixels high.

Hello MochiMoppel,
Yes I did change the max image size after the software update. I can't seem to be able to set min size! I am thinking about storage of the attachments in the long run. I'll watch it for a while and may increase the allowed size back to 1200 x 800

Re: Attachments - allowed file types?
@rockedge Thanks for the clarification, however I don't understand these restriction. I was about to send a screenshot of my (portrait) screen. Now max. 360x480 allowed
IIRC the old forum had a limit of max. 800px width, but no limit on height, and why would height matter?
I understand that the new forum is able to scale images to an appropriate width, so the actual width of the submitted image is irrelevant for the correct display. What matters for bandwidth and storage is the file size. Offering only a link to "oversized" images makes sense, but now this function is gone too.
Ideally I would like to see
1) A "recommended" resolution. The old 800px width should be still fine in most cases.
2) No formal restriction on resolution but stricter limits on file size. IMO 2MB is still too much (assuming that forum SW can set different limits for image and document attachments)
3) Limit on displayable resolution. Your previous 1200px seems OK.

800 * 450 used to be the standard........ most inline images have "disappeared" with this new setting - not very user friendly!

Hello @MochiMoppel @peebee
The image size setting has been returned to 1200 x 800 and max file size is now 512 KiB. Working at finding the sweet spot with these settings!
