Hang about, hang about.....

Errm.....that's Ubuntu, surely? We never had a Xenialpup 16.08, I'm sure we didn't. IS this actually a Puppy?
Mike.
LxPupxenial 16.08.1 w/LXDE
I can force screen 1 from the scrip, which is fine but without
doing that, it will load on screen 2
wasn't sure if firefox had a setting somewhere that might keep
session info.
Other than that the script just runs (apulse /opt/firefox/firefox)
Ah, that explains it. I don't use peebee's Pups; not very keen on Slackware-based OSs, and don't like the LXDE desktop. That's not to say Peter doesn't do a brilliant job of what he does.....but I just prefer Phil B's 'buntu-based Puppies. I get on better with them.
You are quite correct, though; I'd forgotten about peebee's numbering system..!

As to why FF always launches on desktop 2.....you're right; that IS odd. I may package a lot of browsers, but I'm not so hot on how they interact with the desktop, window managers, etc. Not my strong point, I'm afraid.
Sorry I can't help any further.
Mike.
My wm is dwm, and it is configured to always open Firefox on desktop workspace 9.
If there is a file named desktop.conf perhaps in a directory named lxsession, it might have lines like this:
# Default web browser (desktop is the corresponding desktop file)
webbrowser/command=
webbrowser/desktop=
Maybe the webbrowser/desktop= line is the configuration option you need. Maybe
webbrowser/desktop=0
or maybe
webbrowser/desktop=1
