I haven't used either. Only downloaded the linked versions, opened them and used ldd to double-check for missing dependencies. Under Bionicpup64 (with 32bit compatibility sfs loaded for the 32-bit version) these opened without incident and showed no missing libraries. The 32-bit version was created to run under Ubuntu precise, so should function under 'Ubuntu' Puppies from precise thru bionic.

I don't install applications when I don't have to. To run these, I used UExtract to decompress the '.deb'; then moved the extracted folder --shortening its name-- to /mnt/home. At the first level of the 32-bit's folder is a bash-script named "bluegriffon". Left-clicking it starts the application.

The 64-bit version involved a little more work. Its binary is /bluegriffon/opt/bluegriffon/bluegriffon. Left-Clicking it started the application. To avoid having to 'hunt' for the binary again, I opened a second window to the 'initial' bluegriffon folder, dragged the binary into it and from the popup menu selected Link(relative).

Googling for bluegriffon icons will uncover many. I picked one to my liking and downloaded it, ultimately, into the top of each of the bluegriffon folders. With two rox windows open --one displaying the folder as a folder; the second showing the icon-- I Right-Clicked the folder, selected "set icon" from the popup menu, checked the "only for the file" button, and dragged the icon into the GUI.
