Fossapup64. Recently mpv/celluloid/SMPlayer began to support the 'hwdec=auto-safe' parameter for hardware video playback. Now it's better to watch youtube videos in them. Has anyone used plugins for FIrefox that transfer videos from browser to mpv/celluloid players? I've tried ff2mpv and yastm. They perform the main function, BUT... When a plugin opens a video in mpv, it cannot be rewound. At the same time, if you drag the link from browser to mpv window, then everything rewinds perfectly. Something with caching? Has anyone encountered this?

I use the script from MochiMoppel:
View Youtube without ads
Here is how to use the mediaplayer instead of the browser:

Yes, I know about this script, thanks. But the question is not about a fundamental possibility, but about plugins + mpv.

Grey, your question might better be directed to a Firefox forum or a forum for the plugin, if there is one.

They say - ask the question in the place where you got your OS from. Bureaucracy is everywhere That is OK. I will do some more experiments.
