LaTex / Gummi on Fatdog64 (built Gummi working on texlive)

Post by s243a »

I compiled the slackbuild of gummi (on FATDOG 810b). It worked. I acidently recompiled it but changed nothing so it should also work. Download Built Package:
gummi-0.6.5-x86_64-1_SBo.tgz

So far I haven't been able to get the slackbuld of texlive to work. As a consequence I'm currently, installing the Vinella version:
Download (installer): http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/ ... unx.tar.gz
Official Instructions: https://www.tug.org/texlive/acquire-netinstall.html
Other Instructions: https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions ... -or-ubuntu

From Last link (after installing and modified for the year):

Code: Select all

  export PATH=/usr/local/texlive/2020/bin/x86_64-linux:$PATH
  export INFOPATH=$INFOPATH:/usr/local/texlive/2020/texmf-dist/doc/info
  export MANPATH=$MANPATH:/usr/local/texlive/2020/texmf-dist/doc/ma
Now to try to recall where to put these exports in the FATDOG64 scripts.

Create /etc/profile.d/texlive.sh, make it executable, and put all those exports there. Then reboot.

Hope that helps ^_^

Thankyou for the reminder. :) On another note, I found a menu option in the installer that allows you to create symlink to folders in the binary and ilbrary search paths. If you do this then you don't need to do the exports. What the exports allow is for one to run more than one version of TexLive if needed.
