MIcrosoft Teams for Linux

Post by ndujoe1 »

In the news today Microsoft will be getting rid of Skype for business in 6 months. Guiding people to move on to their Teams product.
I downloaded the version for Linux, the deb file. I installed it and checked for dependencies. Bionicpup64 did not find any, but it does not function.

Another ubiquitous move bye Microsoft to pull everyone into the Microsoft way.

As the business of which I am a part uses Skype exclusively for contact, I imagine I will need to find a Linux way forward.

Any suggestions, insight, or recommendation.

thanks.

Did not run is Bionicpup64 8.0 tells us nothing.
Exactly what happens?
What exact deb package did you try?

See this topic on Teams

Try the appimage one.
Carefully follow the info about using Teams.appimage

Bionicpup64 8.0 is getting kind of old on core Linux files and programs.

May want to move on and start using Fossapup64 9.5 Puppy version.
I got the teams-for-linux_1.0.6_amd64.deb to install and work in it.
Also the Teams.appimage one.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

I run bionic64 successfully on an old DELL latitude laptop. Please check this thread where I posted on this topic a couple of weeks ago:
