Edit April 25, 2020 -- Youtube moved the video. I think it was the one now linked to. And in answer to the questions of how I recorded it. I didn't. I just provided a link. And don't know how the poster did.

After you've created a SaveFile or SaveFolder, you can always re-run the routine from the Menu: Menu>Setup>QuickSetup first run settings.

And for those like me who prefer the Taskbar at the bottom: Yes, like almost everything else about Puppy, your desktop is customizable.

The end of the Youtube shows the choices offered to Save or Not. The Presented chose not to. Consequently, none of the settings and other customizations made were preserved.

Me, I would hazard a guess this was screen-recorded while running in a VM. It's the only way I can think of that you'd be able to capture the boot/set-up process of any OS, not just Puppy.....

Just my two-penn'orth, FWIW..!

How do you have Slacko installed?
Frugal or full?

To let you know, Puppy is designed around frugal install.
Frugal is the name, it is still a complete install, but in a special way.
Some features of Puppy, only work in frugal installs.

To be honest, what you are talking about removing, is really not going to give you that much smaller a OS.

Frugal Installation on HDD.

I thought to delete some programs i don't need anyway would give same more space on HDD.

With frugal installs.
All the programs are in the main Puppy version sfs file, that is read only. Can not delete from it.
So, there is the program menu->Setup->Remove builtin packages.
BE VERY CAREFUL USING THIS!!!!!!
Remove only named programs, you know for sure, what they are.
The stuff slected, is not actually removed, but white listed, so it is no longer seen.

Note:
Some programs, you may not use, but you have to make sure it is not used by another program.

When you get the Puppy install the way you want it.

menu->Setup->Remaster Puppy program can build a new iso of this exact install.
You just made your own Puppy derivative version.
Use this new iso to do an install of your Puppy version.

i started a small Thin Client (2 GB RAM, 2 GB Flash) with Live USB-Stick Slacko 6.3.2.

Everything looks good, but then after showing some Monitor information the following message dissapear:

" cat: /proc/5937/status : No such file or directory

Xorg Wizard Automatic has just run.
If you are reading this, then you are at the console without X running
The usual thing now is to type "xwin" to start X ...
Starting X, specs in /etc/X11/Xorg.conf, startup apps /root/.xinitrc

Does anyone has an idea, what the problem could be and how to solve it ?
Typing "xwin" ist starting X normally, but why is slacko stopping at this point ??

I tried a couple times and the number after "cat: /proc/... is changing every time.
