@peebee on next kernel release, is it possible to enable this kernel config? It's just a kernel module in order to run Waydroid app on linux

Code: Select all

CONFIG_ANDROID=y
CONFIG_ANDROID_BINDER_IPC=m
CONFIG_ANDROID_BINDERFS=n
CONFIG_ANDROID_BINDER_DEVICES="binder,hwbinder,vndbinder"

@mistfire - I think you need to build your own specialised kernel tailored for your needs....

how big are these additions? =y affects the vmlinuz

Builder of LxPups, SPups, UPup32s, VoidPups; LXDE, LXQt, Xfce addons; Chromium, Firefox etc. sfs; & Kernels

Question

  • Would the benefit outweigh the small size increase on 99% if today's members PCs? It does widen the applications that might be used by members both on their phones and PCs.

This post is Not a request; merely a consideration for development's evaluation, time permitting.

That works "mo betta"! Booted successfully, using LXDE by ydrv, no major issues. Also, happy to report that the new ungoogled-chromium v135.X installed and running, well, some people would call it a "brisk walk" rather than run on this old Acer Aspire One, LOL! Posting from it now!
Thank you peebee! :thumbup:

Copy and paste from LxTerminal...note I did a kernel swap with one of @ozsouth kernels, uses about 25mb less RAM than k5.15.180 (first runs were with the included 5.15.180 kernel) and I've upgraded the GLIBC. Have New Moon (Palemoon) v33.7.0 GTK2 with 3 tabs open here at the Forum.

@peebee Been running the latest S15Pup32 22.12 250502 through the paces for the past 3 days or so, have not encountered any issues. Everything so far launches just fine, all I've trialed anyhow, and it seems pretty solid. As mentioned, I did use @ozsouth kernel 6.1.118 as well as updated GLIBC to 2.41, haven't noticed any abnormalities. Good job as usual! Thank you peebee!
