Chrome Error showing some objects [ SOLVED ]

Post by Amaponian »

I'm experiencing a problem with Chrome, this browser is making mistakes showing some objects on screen (see picture), it doesn't happen in Palemoon. I'm sure I've seen that problem before, but it is happening again in Google Firebase. Below I'm posting a screen (see the problems in the left) and the details of the machine and distro I'm using.

Now I discover more sites not being showed correctly (this forum included)

Help apreciated.

I've just uninstalled Chrome and installed the current version (probably the same version I uninstalled) and the problem remains the same. Help, please!

The problem is not in the browser, but in loading icons from the server where the icons are located

Hello @Amaponian
I feel that @Sofiya is correct for how you have Chrome installed.

If you are still having Chrome issues in your FossaPup64, I offer this Chrome browser PET option on the forum here.

It is flawless. I've used it for EVERY WoofCE forum distro that exist since that PET became available. Merely install that PET, open desktop's menu to Internet section and select "Get Latest Chrome Version". Once Chrome installed, open to the forum pages you show. I am not having that problem on my old FossaPUP64 v9.5.

Let us know if, after installing, you continue with the problem.

Not sure about what you mean:
This doesn't happen in Palemoon (see picture), it only happens in Chrome.

Thanks for trying to help, I rather do some research before changing the way I've been working for years. I've always installed Chrome directly from the Chrome site. I'm not sure if this problem came with the last Chrome updating (now I scarcely use the computer) or if my son changed something.

The @Sofiya icon clue is good, I'll try to work on that.

Greetings from Venezuela.

it might be something is blocking the images from loading, check the settings of your extensions (add-ons) , I do not use those I can see from your screenshot you posted neither we can know how you set them, but for example ublock origin can block icons from loading; you might try to disable all the add-ons (eg you use adblock plus? try to disable that one or check its settings) and see, if the issue disappears you can re-enable one by one and see which one is causing the issue.

I solved the problem doing a Chrome Factoy Reset. I feel I've lost lots of important things, but I don't have much time to mourn. Thanks to everyone trying to help.

P.S. I wanted to post an image of chrome working fine but had problems with access key to the site where I put the images ( cookies deleted)
