@puddlemoon

Thank you for such an awesome remaster project!

It has nearly everything I could want for a distribution.

The only things I wish were part of it would be a layer wine-staging for yabridge use and a way to install wineasio.

What is the name of the dock animations and how did you do the glassy icons?

Completely gorgeous and a pure joy to use.

I used this distro for years, but it's quite old and the author is inactive on the forum for a long time now. If you need to use jack audio and run wine there is another distro recently put together called Studio1337 which has a wine setup built in, though I can't seem to find the post from a couple weeks back. I'll keep digging.

okay, like I stated above, this jackalpup distro is out of date on many levels, and no longer maintained.

This one here has wine staging built in plus a lot of other tools, and it's brand new. I used versions of this years ago, and this a recent build:

If you like the darkglass icons and the cyan glass gtk theme from jackalpup, I have copies of both of them that I could upload somewhere for you.

Thanks a lot. I’m glad it has worked for you!
Yeah,I have been off the radar For a while dealing with some all encompassing health issues. Also the only music activity has been in the hardware realm for me lately and things have been moving fast with pipe wire etc…
I never ended up uploading my final version which has a more complete icon set/theme.
@geo_c wow! I will have to check out the latest version of 1337. The wheels turn. That was certainly the gateway drug for me!

@geo_c

I really do love the theme for jackal and would appreciate the icons too.

Thank you for sharing the 1337 v4 information! It is really pretty complete from my initial tests, but still trying to get wineasio to work and need to test out yabridge too.

Reading about the long save times, would it be better to have a separate drive mounted for just vsts?

Thanks again!

Hi @Marlow77

Thanks!
I did put some love into creating and integrating that theme, which gets kinda wonky in puppy. Also I’ve added more custom icons since the last version.
As mentioned, I’ve been t really out of the loop for ages but I’m inspired to have a play with the new 1337 and would certainly be porting the theme the best I can asap (or a remaster perhaps) so I’ll let you know.
Cheers!

Here is the cyan glass gtk theme: https://mega.nz/file/yKx1lIwB#3YcFXdzda ... 7s2Pydum1Q
I think this theme is correct. If for some reason it's different, that's because I may have edited it and created my own. I'd have to load it to check.

And here are the Ice Glass pup icons: https://mega.nz/file/TfQBSQib#Q-X7EmftZ ... XrF5rrHSeY

I'd love to have a remaster of your 1337 if you decide to make one!

@geo_c
Thank you for these! I'm going to try and figure out how to install them now....:)

I think you need to put the gtk theme in /usr/share/themes and the icons in /usr/local/lib/X11/themes, then they should show up in the theme changer which I'm assuming there is one.

However your jwm theme won't necessarily match.
