How to ... adjust time mtpaint snapshot wait to take the snap.

Post by pp4mnklinux »

Mtpaint snapshot (default screen capture that you can find in GRAPHICS - MTPAINT SNAPSHOT) is waiting a default time of 13 seconds to take a photo, so you have got enough time to adjust your screen.

It is possible it is excesive time for you, so you can adjust it changing the default values in /usr/bin/mtpaintsnapshot.sh

I modified it to 7 seconds, capt included.

Adjust it the way u want.-

Have a nice day u all

I like GIMP for screenshots. It offers you your choice of what to capture and the timing you want.

Thanks @CF-DKS :

Let me recomend u TAS (included by default in EasyOS) MENU- GRAPHICS

It will satisfy all your needs.

It is fantastic if u associate this program with a key-combination and with it you can record full screen, active window, region... you can save it in different formats, give name, extension...

In January I will try to make a tutorial about screenshooters. There are fantastic options and you can configure them the most ergonomyc way to use them really fast.

Have a nice day u all

P.D.- xfce4 ScreenShooter is fantastic (4 me)

Thanks, will have a look at it. GIMP is most useful to me because it opens the screenshot ready to edit, and I generally want to downsize or otherwise tweek anything I screenshot. GIMP suits me because I use it a lot for pictures so it's a very familiar program. Speed isn't generally an issue for me, although I don't find the process slow with GIMP.
