distro.ibiblio.org/quirky is going to be purged

Post by BarryK »

I intend to erase most of what is here:

https://distro.ibiblio.org/quirky/

This site hosts some old pups, especially Wary, Racy and EasyPup.
Also Quirky Linux.

The intention is that this will be the home for "Quirky Void", also known as just "QV".

If you want to archive any of it, grab it now.
I will probably commence the erasing about a week from now.

Took a bit longer than a week!

Now purged, see blog:

But the old files are still at NLUUG, for a short time.

For anyone finding this thread later, most of this stuff is on archive.org.

And I and other old puppians also have quite a bit of the older "stuff" in our private non-online servers or storage. So you could try asking in Additional Software / REQUESTS if you can't find a thread or pointer to it elsewhere. Don't use it unless you have properly checked first, I will have it automatically do so.
However it could be there because of the revision is relevant to one puppy version only or faults found with it had it removed, so you need to seriously consider before wanting to use it.
You will be usually expected to supply a Reason for the request, a valid revision number and build or last modified date for the package with your request, not just a blanket request, at least from me. And i'm not online every day so don't expect an immedate reply.
