Puppy's For Older Low Powered Computers

One of the often posted topics/questions is "Best Puppy for older 32bit computer" such as this one:

The forum has a lot of good information on this, but it is certainly not easy to find, especially for a newcomer.

I propose the creation of a main subject in the Board Index named something like "Puppy's For Older Low Powered Computers". It could be placed in either Distributions or House Training. Could have subforums for 32bit and 64bit?

The first post could contain links to some of the existing content such as this one by @mikeslr :

I think we should NOT focus on 32bit. Almost everyone in the world have 64bit PCs. Even the Industrialized countries send-give 3rd world users old 64bit PCs. ... Free for the taking via many Aid Agencies.

We, members, know that the Linux world has moved onto 64bit with companies and groups focusing their talents on improvements centered around 64bit technologies. Heck, today, there are a 100000-fold more 64PCs than any other 32bit or 16bit PC...even though I have some of each still in my basement awaiting some opportunity to give them away. Consumer 64bit PC is over 20 YEARS OLD while 32bit PC, in their hay day was only available, cheaply, for 8 years. And if my guess is correct, it will remain this way for a very long time into the future until the next quantum technology becomes consumer available ... if ever.

The only reason today's users would even consider running a 32bit distro on a 64bit PC is the expectation that there will be a lower RAM demand. Performance, whether 64bit or 32bit OS operations is the same on 64bit hardware.

This post is not intended to discourage anyone, but, is to offer an idea which 'might' be appreciative to a broader group of users; new or old.

Offer: How about a topic area labeled "For low powered PCs"

This will cover the desires of those looking for 32bit distros that continue to be maintained by their developers as well as for user whose PCs have little RAM of less than 2GB no matter if its a old or newer PC.

Just offering an idea to accompany the OP's post.

Did you even follow rockedge's link to the new topics? Apparently you just enjoy pontificating for the sake of it. Using your use of "logic", one could say we
should not focus on Linux at all! Since most consumer PCs released in the last 40 yrs operate on MicroSoft or Apple supplied operating systems, with the
exception of google's chromeOS which is a late arrival, there is no need to waste development time on alternative operating systems, everyone should just
bite the bullet and go buy the lastest, greatest, newest, shiniest, whatever.
