Any supported browser that does bookmarks like Seamonkey does? (Solved)

Post by fundog »

Is a browser available that handles bookmarks in a similar way to Seamonkey? I like the way Seamonkey handles bookmarks but even after updating the Seamonkey version installed with FD903 I get a message with gmail:
"This browser version is no longer supported. Please upgrade to a supported browser."
I think they mean it this time. When I click on the link "Learn More" I get nothing...

This is getting to be a common occurrence on the web and is not limited to Seamonkey. Sites, particularly subscriber types, are only allowing chrome or mozilla-firefox. The only fix is a boycot. Various workarounds such as tweaking your browser id, even when they actually work, only reinforce the behaviour.

Hello Dry Falls,
I like the nested, indented format of the SeaMonkey bookmarks and I don't know of another browser that works that way.
I am not a coder, so I have no knowledge of the practicality of creating a bookmark "add-on" to provide the SeaMonkey format on other browsers...
Would that be practical?

Firefox is recommended. All you have to do is to turn on its menu bar, which is turned off by default. Please do the following steps to finish it.

1. Click the menu button (3-bars), click 'More tools' and choose 'Customize toolbar...'.
2. Click the 'Toolbars' drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen and select 'Menu Bar' check box.
3. Click the 'Done' button.

Firefox.....Seamonkey.....Pale Moon.....LibreWolf.....IceWeasel, etc; they're all distant relations. They're all forks off the same development code-stream, just at different points along its timeline.....and they ALL ultimately lead back to NetScape_Navigator.
