Has anyone been able to install the HP m209dw series of printers in Fossapup 9.5 (or any Puppy distro)? The installer, HPLIP, seems run fine, but when it gets to the part when it installs missing dependencies, it halts with the message that it can't load libjpeg (which is already in the /lib directory of Fossapup). This same version of HPLIP runs and works fine in Xubuntu 22.04, and the printer works perfectly.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is this what you used?

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.

This is not what I expected

Yes, Bigpup, that is what I used, tried versions 24 and 22. Neither will import the dependencies. I think it is because HPLIP calls apt-get to install them. Not present in Fossapup. Tried downloading synaptic, but it would not run. Suggestions?
