Re: where are logs for X pls?
@boof :-
PLEASE don't keep doing that! It takes up a massive amount of space on the page. Either wrap code "tags" around it - as I've done FOR you, above - or do as Jasper suggested; paste it into a text file named after the log itself, and just add ".zip" to the end of the filename.
Then add it to your next post as an attachment, please. I know you need everything spelling out for you, so that's what I've tried to do....
Mike.
Re: where are logs for X pls?
thank you
the error reports above indicated an old <6.0.0 kernel caused the problem. i've downloaded Xorg-7.7 and rebooted in the hope of a cure. Xorg-7.7 was not installed. not sure why not. my dell 6050 with 8GB RAM might have problems? i have changed my cursor to <celtic blue> seems freq. changing cursors caused problems. no current threads on this, last post abt dec 2023. hopefully, i now have it sorted. i used to kill my bowser every3-4hrs to avoid this, but hopefully, this will sort it properly. i'll report back.
