Flipping/rotating the computer display

Post by wizard »

There are some laptop computers like the Lenovo Yoga that allow you to rotate the screen more than 180 degrees and use it on a surface in "Tent Mode".

Handy for presentations, watching videos or using as a second monitor. This mode puts the normal image upside down, so it needs to be flipped for viewing.

This script, flip-display.sh, gives you a small GUI to do the flipping in Puppy.

Edit: Also could be fun on a normal computer to flip it and wait for someone to discover  or give your brain a little exercise when trying to flip it back to normal (right is left and up is down)

I will definitely check this out later today. Thanks @wizard

Just a small warning RE the Yoga 11e G3 and any other models that have fulll sized SD card that sticks out a bit - or a "spring" in their full scale SD port.

If you stand it up portrait/selfie-wise make sure the side with the SD card is on TOP....or you might find your SD card "pops-out" when you pick the chromebook up again. (oops)
