In the case of Linux & free software, these are Gimp, Inkscape & Scribus. Various.
But there is a third option. This is a set of programs Affinity. Serif.
Photo, Designer & Publisher accordingly.
The instructions may scare some users... But there's nothing complicated there. Two things can cause difficulties. Compiling a special version of Wine & extracting files from running Windows 10 or 11. Since I didn't have any Windows, I had to use Qemu & take the files from there 
& I didn't use rum.
