fastfetch, using the Kitty terminal

sudo xbps-install fastfetch ImageMagick

Sakura does not support the image, it's a pity of course

Now that I figured out the KLV-Plasma-KDE run as spot setup, I think it's time I run Hyprland again. As much as the KDE thing is a smooth animated experience, I miss the lighter weight tiling window manager aspect.

... tiling window manager aspect.

Cant you do this in a desktop in KLV-KDE?

There a hot-key for this.

Curious

@geo_c here's a review I believe you might find of value.

This review is consistent, I think, that @Sofiya is trying to get us to see in usage of her masterpiece.

This review is consistent, I think, that @Sofiya is trying to get us to see in usage of her masterpiece.

Thanks, that review was pretty close to how I feel about it.

There are Pros and Cons for both a simple effective tiiling Manager (Spectr), a more heavily animated tiling manager (Hyprland), and a highly integrated animated Stacking manager like KDE.

The convenience of the configuration tools in KDE is a big plus, especially for people who have never even looked at a config file in their entire life.

Hyprland is more for the power user, but being wayland and compositing, animated, etc... has the modern look and feel of something like KDE.

Spectr is highly configuable and perfectly lightweight. I'll be honest. It's still my favorite for getting down to business and getting my work done. I spent a good week of my life configuring hotkeys for all of it's desktop functions, and making splash screens to reference them. But it has a lot of capability built in at the touch of few keys. And that's one of several reasons it's a good choice for pro audio.

I like them all of course.

The more I use them, the more I appreciate Xfce. It's the best at riding the fine line.

The bottom line is what mood I'm in that day. Do I feel awake and alert enough to deal with windows sliding in from the side, and the desktop going dark showing me a window I happen to be hovering over the task list icon, and various features like that?

Or am I just awake enough to want my window instantly appearing and filliling the whole screen, and when I open a second have both completely visible with no other distractions occuring on the desktop.?

And I'll keep mentioning this about spectr, it's the got the best color and font representation of all of them. I'm not sure why that is, but someone posted about the light metrics of spectr making it the best for designing lighting schemes. It seemed to be a bot or one time poster who never answered my follow up question about that. But I had suspected there was something unique about the way spectr renders the graphics to the desktop. Above my paygrade to figure out though.
