I tried BookwormPup. What Should I Try Out Next?

Post by JusGellin »

I really love how BookwormPup works and still have a lot to learn from it. It is so useful for being my main distribution now.
I need to look at all the things I went through to begin to feel more comfortable using it and all the things to overcome issues (mostly mine).

This website has more than just puppy linux. I was wandering what would be good to try out next from all the different os's that are here.
I would like to try something else to learn more whether it is another version of puppy linux or something else. I know I could just pick something
myself and just go, but I would like to hear what you all might think is good.

Thanks

Quickpup is a good one, and perhaps a DebianDog might be something to start with using a build script.

Should try out FatDog as well. Lots there to get busy with.........

@JusGellin :-

Honestly, mate, the "sky's the limit" where distros here on the forum are concerned. Just have a browse, read up about all the different Pups/Dogs/Kennel Linux variants/Barry's 'experimental' stuff, then just pick something........and go for it!

Everything here has its fans & adherents. Everybody will have their personal favourite that they'll recommend. This is one area where you have to exercise your own judgement. Nobody can make that choice for you. The lovely thing about all the OSs promoted here on the Puppy Forum is that none are particularly huge - compared to some mainstream distros I could name! - and ALL are very easy to just 'try out' & take for a test run.

Go ON. Dive in. Indulge yourself.....let yourself go, and HAVE FUN. That's what it's all about at the end of the day; if you're not having fun, you're doing summat wrong.... :D

You've no doubt recognised yourself, it helps to have at least ONE distro that you've set-up exactly the way you like, that is super stable, and can serve as your "daily driver". Once you've achieved that, then everything else is really just icing on the cake. :) ( @rockedge :- Am I right, Erik.....or am I right? )

We're always here.....and we're always happy to help. But I think you know that by now!
