How to not have a screensaver and password after sleep? (fossapup64 9.6)

Post by cumaron »

Hello, after waking my laptop from sleep, I get a screen saver with graphics and need to enter the password 'woofwoof' to get back in. However, I am certain I set up 'blank screen' with no password as screen saver. How can I disable this screensaver/password after waking up from sleep ?

In a first attempt to solve it I deleted /root/xlock.rc, but this made no difference.

Many thanks

@cumaron It sounds like the xlock is invoked after the laptop is awaken after sleep. Is it being suspended by the lid being closed or what state is the machine going into?

Yes, the laptop is suspended to RAM.

In fossapup64 9.6 there should be a file /etc/acpi/acpi.conf. In it, uncomment the last line: #DISABLE_LOCK='yes'

My pups: LxPupSc64 and Voidpup64 with LXDE ydrv and synaptics touchpad drivers, both using small savefiles for customizations. Ydrv based NoblePup64 and Fossapup64-small (both LXDE/PCManFM with no savefiles). No fdrvs throughout. :thumbup2:
