testing BookwormPup64 v10.0 7 v240620

Post by Clarity »

Using my Ventoy USB, I booted today's version from @peebee retrieved from Github.

Boots to desktop with AND without adding psave=Persistence:/Sessions/ parameter at boot menu time. All seems well. With 'psave', the session is saved in the folder as expected.

QEMU tests will follow soon.

This is an experiment version. Not meant for download. Do not put much effort into testing it.

Before recieving the message, I had done a preliminary test of Ventoy USB in a QEMU VM. I added the psave such that it knows where persistence is to be save. All went well for this, as well, as with SG2D in a VM where the psave is not needed because of the presence of the SAVESPEC file in the ISO folder on the USB.

I suspect the same behavior would occur in the current 240621.

FYI

@Clarity

This test version of 10.0.7 is a preliminary Beta intended for internal testing only.

There will be additional changes/revisions going forward before final release status in early July.

Hi @radky
Yes. I understood this, as well, when @peebee posted.

I only offer my follow-up to indicate a testing, thus far. NOT intended for any other reason than to give the feedback accomplished by you developers, before his post to me.

Thanks. I will not follow-up on this v1007 reporting. Good work found thus far, though.

Thanks for the additional heads-up.
