Document Scanner can't find my wifi scanner (BookwormPup)

Post by sinc »

Im using BookwormpPup 64 and trying to use Document Scanner. The app can't find my wifi scanner. What file can I alter to tell it where to find my IP address? I know the IP address of my scanner I just need to be able to point the program to it.

Thanks so much.

Please identify the make/model of your scanner. Have you installed a model-specific driver for your scanner? Is this a printer/scanner unit? Did you install a driver for the printer?

Its an Epson WorkForce 6590. I have installed the printer drivers and can print perfectly. I installed the EpsonScan2 program and am able to scan from there but don't really like the program and wanted to setup puppy's Document Scanner. EpsonScanner is able to find the scanner though. I also went into /etc/sane.d/epson2.conf and added my printer IP address so it doesn't have to look for it everytime I start he program. But "Document Scanner" doesnt find the printer at all.
