only one of two drive icons showing

i has 2 drives, with 4 partitions in one.
under edit item, the top line is

/tmp/pup_event_frontend/drive_drives

nothing clears this back to normal, but perhaps changing the above line will help?

Puppy Event Manager ->Rox icons has settings that should control this.

If you make any changes, make sure to also select refresh / realign existing icons option, or the changes will not be used, until reboot or restart X server.

Each partition should show as an icon on the desktop. So you should be seeing at least 5 drive icons. Do you know what filesystems the partitions are formatted with?
