Hey guys, how's it goint?
So I'm new here, and I would to know something that I believe I'm missing.
I installed Ableton on my Linux Pop OS, and I notice that is a high CPU usage (hitting 30% and 45%) even with empty projects and just 4 tracks, I'm talking about cpu load meter from Ableton.
When I used Windows, with the same empty project with 4 tracks the cpu load meter from Ableton show something like 2%,
Someone knows how to sove it?

Re: high cpu usage with ableton
You are in the wrong forum.
This is a Puppy Linux forum not one about using Linux Pop OS.
If you wanted to say you are using Linux Puppy OS.
Need to know the exact Puppy version?
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected

Re: high cpu usage with ableton
Ditto what @bigpup said about wrong forum.
But, have you checked the CPU frequency scaling in popOS, if it's running in performance mode, or schedutil, depends on the frequency governors available and what pop uses to adjust them. And also the cpu clock upper and lower limits.
Then there are the latency adjustments in Abelton and the audio architecture, presumably pipewire.
Other than that, no clue. I can't tell you how to change the cpu settings in popOS.
