The Personal Repos Thread.....
Evening, guys'n'gals.
Now; can I make a personal plea, here?
Bearing in mind that we we honestly don't know when (or even if) Murga-Linux will be 'operational' again, I really think it wouldn't be a bad idea if as many of us as possible (who happen to have their own Puppy material 'repos'/cloud a/cs, etc, etc) were to post their locations in one, easily-to-find thread.....which rockedge could then 'pin' in a central location for the benefit of all.
I know ally has a lot of Puppy stuff over at archive.org, and most of us know how to access the Ibiblio repositories.....but that still leaves an awful lot of stuff sitting in personal a/cs, etc.
This info really needs 'sharing', so that everyone can benefit.
I'll start the ball rolling. I suggest a very short 'template', like so:-
-------------------------------------------
NAME - Mike Walsh
Description - Assorted packages
URL(s) -
- Google Drive : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing
- MediaFire : http://www.mediafire.com/folder/cetf5lx ... uppy_Stuff
Anything you can find in either of these two a/cs that looks like it might be useful, help yourselves. Download it, and do what you like with it.....feel free.
---------------------------------------------
That's all that's needed, guys.....if you don't MIND sharing, that is. Most file-hosting acs/cloud storage will let you specify exactly what you're happy to share publicly, don't forget.
Mike.

Re: The Personal Repos Thread.....
I put them in Additional Software->Package Collections/Repositories.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected

You could make your own topic in Additional Software->Package Collections/Repositories.
Do the old add solved to this topic subject.
Posting a topic, by you, for your repository, in Additional Software->Package Collections/Repositories, would be good for you to control that topic.
