How to install ISO to USB stick to boot from...

Post by Tippe »

Hi.

I downloaded a few Linux ISOs for testings
But I don't want to overwrite my current OS.

How can I get such ISO installed onto an USB flash drive, so that I can use it from USB stick?

I tried balenaEtcher, but this won't start in my OS, as balenaEtcher is 32bit.

I'm sure there must be some options/commands to do this via terminal.

Thanks

Bionic Puppy 64bit.
Won't use another one.

Thanks.

By another forum I was recommended to use Ventoy, which I gave a try.
This seems to be a good option.
It installed properly and boots the ISOs at least.

Though, Ubuntu Studio stopped booting by Kernel Panic.
AVL MXE Studio booted fine.
But the trouble just started after the graphical desktop appears.

A Network Tool so setup network, without anything in it to setup anything.
What a Crap.

In my Bionic I have internet connection out of the box after the graphical desktop appears.
I just had to choose the router (Fritz-Box) and to enter the network code once.
Saved and chosen as the default setup to be used.

That's what I call a GOOD Linux OS! :D

Bionic Puppy 64bit.
Won't use another one.
