A Xenial to Fossa upgrader's comments

Post by Bushbuck »

For years I was a very happy user of Xenial Puppy, it was like my favourite shoes, but finally I made myself a bootable USB stick with Fossa.

I configured everything to be equally comfortable, and it's great — it looks almost the same, but the browsers are now up to date. Thank you!

There was only one thing that baffled me, which is how to turn off the semi-transparency thing that happens to windows that lose the focus.

How do you do that, and make it act like Xenial, which (I think) was all opaque by default?

@Bushbuck take a look at Menu->Desktop->JWMdesk

Look at the Window Effects section. There are window transparency settings there! :thumbup2:

@rockedge Ahh...the light finally dawns, Thank you! :thumbup:

If anyone else reads this after trying changing loads of settings, there's a "stop" button in there, and it does what it says. :lol:

PS, I love Fossa!

Make sure to do the Quickpet ->Info ->Fossapup updates

It will provide some bug fixes and updates that did not get into the ISO release.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o
