Pale Moon browser (64 & 32 bit) Deb packages from Pale Moon web site

Post by bigpup »

This is the best location to get a Pale Moon package, to use for installing it.
http://www.palemoon.org/contributed-builds.shtml
The top two links are the best to use.
Pale Moon GTK2 repositories for Debian and Ubuntu by Steve Pusser.
Pale Moon GTK3 repositories for Debian and Ubuntu by Steve Pusser

Notice it offers several builds for GTK2 or GTK3.
GTK2 builds would be best to use in very old Puppy versions.

Note:
When you navigate to the GTK2 or GTK3 version page, select Debian->"grab binary packages directly":
https://software.opensuse.org/download. ... e=palemoon
It lists Deb packages built for different versions of Debian.

Same happens if you select Ubuntu->"grab binary packages directly"
Get list of Deb packages for different Ubuntu versions.

There are latest 64bit and 32bit versions being offered.

Select a package that is built for the Debian or Ubuntu version that is most similar to the Puppy version.
The one the Puppy version was based on or released at a similar point in time.

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o
