Here's a little yad program that will verify a hash checksum or create one using the following programs:
md5sum
sha256sum
sha224sum
sha384sum
sha512sum
shasum
sha1sum
sha3sum
cksum
b2sum
crc32
metaflac (create or verify a flac fingerprint file)
If you open a text file with a checksum the program will figure out what type it is and check if your file matches the checksum. If you open a file that isn't plain text you will be prompted for which type of checksum you'd like to create.
