Important AUDIO NEWS for forum distro users

Post by Clarity »

Some of us might have missed a MAJOR event that took off in Puppyland, last year; namely PIPEWIRE!

This single step into the Linux limelight is revolutionizing how audio hardware works with your new modern WoofCE and KL distros. It is so revolutionary that it is obsoleting so many past multiple packages necessary for any reasonable audio needs.

If you have ANY musical talent or background, this thread asks: Please review, comment, offer ideas, participate in , here on the forum.

That thread and others, there, is demonstrating how Revolutionary Pipewire brings audio use to the Linux table. Further, with Pipewire, life gets VERY simple as many other packages for audio enhancements are no longer needed. Yes a single subsystem with less to look for or worry about for things to work the way you want it to. This sharply detours (bypass) your past audio add-on needs.

Subsequsntly, there are ONLY 2 components any user would want in these new and future forum distros coming at us: WirePlumber and a visualizer like qpwgraph or Helvum. This subsystem, now, strings ALL things together for you.

Stop over, share your findings, and ENJOY. If you spot something glaring, post it there.
