reading this in XFCE, will report later back in JWM

It just happened here too, controlled with an XFCE settings app titled Windows Manager Tweaks. This is Puppy:

MochiMoppel 's technique works very well

Code: Select all

Step 1: Edit the file /root/.jwm/jwmrc-personal. Add the 2 lines right after the first <JWM>:

<JWM>
<RootMenu onroot="4"/>
<RootMenu onroot="5"/>

Step 2: Restart JWM
