Floorp Browser

Post by festus »

Hello, to all

Floorp-11.7.1 is a new security-based browser that I found, yesterday, and want to make it known to the pup community.

Here is where I discovered it>
https://www.neowin.net/software/floorp-1170/

Floorp is a cutting-edge web browser that combines the trusted foundation of Mozilla's Firefox with a unique Japanese perspective, offering users an exceptional online experience. This open-source browser prioritizes privacy, customization, and security. Floorp is transparent, with no user tracking or data sharing, and it's completely open source. With a strict no-tracking policy and full transparency, your personal information remains private. As an open-source project, Floorp not only shares its source code but also its build environment, inviting users to contribute and build their unique versions. The regular updates, based on Firefox ESR, ensure that you always have the latest features and security enhancements.

Hope this might be useful

I installed it using the pet package jasper posted.

Installed in Bookworm Pup64 10.0.3

It sure seems to have a lot of options in settings!

Just started using it, but like what I see.

I know it says based on Firefox, but it sure looks like Opera, Microsoft Edge, and a few others using this same main window layout.

Thanks for providing this!

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o
