How to connect a speaker to a laptop via Bluetooth?

Post by volumevol »

Hello!

I'm using fossapup64 version 9.5 on my Acer Aspire 5732Z laptop and I'm trying to connect a JBL Charge 4 speaker to it via Bluetooth.
No success so far.
I've tried the Janky Blutooth GUI and bluetoothctl from a console window.
Within bluetoothctl, after I enter the command "scan on" the answer I get is "No default controller available".

Try QuickPup64. It has better Bluetooth device management via Blueman

@volumevol

You'll also find F96-CE_4 and BookwormPup64 have working blue tooth along with good help file instructions for how to connect.
