Hi, have 2 usb kingston, with sfs in directories, many puppies, fat32, always boot with grub4dos, in the directories the normal files, initrd, vmlinuz, advr, zdrv, etc.
but with this files in particular have this issue. Booting from new devuan kernel 6,1,45
so, my question is:
can it fixed?
is the problem vmlinuz, zdrv or initrd?
in my persoal computer, my hard disk have almost the same config
ext3, many directories with savefiles, grub4dos installed
grub4dos in newer version from fossapup64 i guess
but here dont have the error, just booting from usb.
please helpme, I would like to fix this problem because i like how looks this puppy devuan

Looks like this kernel is not suitable for use with Puppy or misconfigured: it's built with CONFIG_NLS_ASCII=m
or CONFIG_NLS_ASCII=n
instead of CONFIG_NLS_ASCII=y
.
To make it Puppy-compatible, a kernel from another distro needs these configuration options to be changed.

Thank you sir @dimkr , I told Jose and he told me that he is going to compile a kernel with those parameters that you have explained to me, that kernel is compiled by Mr. Josejp2424. Thanks for the explanation.
