I will preface by saying, yes, I'm using an old ass PVM and that it is a source of constant issues (which is part of the FUN).
I used QuickPet to install NVIDIA drivers so I could get better colour depth and resolution support for my 8600gt and now my display is completely overscanned; I can't see icons and the tray is completely missing, well it's there, just not visible
I think there is a way to adjust X and Y axis in the default graphics wizard (sorry, the name escapes me), but apparently this can 'damage' the GPU and monitor. I don't see how it could do this, but my instinct is to stay away from that until somebody more experienced can offer insight.
Anybody know what the hell has happened, and why NVIDIA drivers would do such a thing (the betrayal!)? It's at the same resolution as the default VESA driver which gave me a completely viewable image, with some tiny amount of overscan.
