Seamonkey portable

Post by mikeslr »

I noticed Mike Walsh's Seamonkey portable hadn't been mentioned yet. Mike created a couple:
- A standard build of 2.48 (fine in the likes of Precise 571, Slackos 560/570, etc.....as Nic says, anything with glibc 2.15 or higher, https://drive.google.com/file/d/17IQdv0 ... sp=sharing

- A glibc219-'tweaked' version for older Pups - using watchdog's method, as usual.....all thanks to him. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1htNOma ... sp=sharing

and SeaMonkey 2.46. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MMdixn ... sp=sharing

The attached pet will generate a menu entry for Seamonkey. Note, its "executable" is a bash-script named /root/my-applications/bin/seamonkey which points to Mike Walsh's seamonkey 'wrapper', smky, AFTER YOU'VE MOVED THE seamonkey folder to /mnt/home. It read as follows:
exec /mnt/home/seamonkey/smky "$@". Edit /my-applications/bin/seamonkey to provide the FULL-PATH and EXACT FOLDER NAME if your installation is different.
