Easy Dunfell64 2.6.2
HP Printer 3056a All-In-One
Tried many hp drivers ... 'No Print' In Easy Buster the old Tahr64 drivers work just fine for print & scan but not in Dunfell, they all show a 'Filter Failure'... Any suggestions or help appreciated.

Driver, hplip_print_scan_tahr64-3.15.9.pet 'with' cups-filters-1.28.3-1-dunfell64.pet gets my hp3056A working!!! Others with hp print problems from previous Dunfell versions might want to try this combo?

Another UPDATE 04/15/21
Oh Boy... here we go again... I said above... the hplip_print_scan_tahr64-3.15.9.pet got my printer working... well when I tested it after installing this driver, my printer DID print out a test-page so I figured all was well... 'Not The Case' Further testing today would not produce a 'print' of anything. Deleting this driver and installing several other hplip's I finally hit on one... hplip_3.20.3+dfsgO that seems to be working OK (at least for now) on my printer. If anything changes I'll post here about it.

hplip_3.20.3+dfsgO stopped printing as did hplip_print_scan_tahr64-3.15.9.pet, so we're back to the drawing boards at least with this issue and my printer.

With the new 2.7.1, hplip_3.20.3+dfsgO appears to 'presently' be working maybe that new thing Barry put in for the Samsung fixed the HP printers as well... time will tell !!! again, 'Thanks Barry' Easy Dunsfell64 looks like a super-duper operating system!

With the new 2.7.1, hplip_3.20.3+dfsgO Again STOPPED PRINTING... no doubt, we have some printer issues in Dunsfell 2.7.1... EasyOS 'Buster' continues to print and work well!

The new Dunsfell 2.7.2 still doesn't correct HP printer problem... 'Failed filter' still occurs.
Update 5/10/21
Latest Dunsfell 2.7.3 has same printing issues as previous versions (above) and act the same as those mentioned above... It appears no one else is using an HP printer with Dunsfell with some good advise (kind of hard to believe with all the downloads of EasyOS Dunsfell at Distrowatch?) This will be my last update on the subject of HP Printing and Easy Dunsfell !

It appears that the hplip for HP printers is fixed in the new version 2.9 !!

The post just above this one is correct, after installing 2.9 my hp printer did it's thing and printed a beautiful test page from within cups... BUT... after a reboot of 2.9, the hp printer does NOT print and gives a failed filter in cups. So what we have here appears to be that everything Barry included in the hplip update in version 2.9 is correct, Dunsfell just can't seem to retain it after a shutdown or reboot?
