I have long ago despaired of trying to keep up with all developments and all the specific interests of each Forum member. Apparently like you, I primarily focus on Puppys which are binary-compatible with Ubuntu or debian. I do know, however, that Slackware-binary-compatible Puppys have a strong following, several talented Devs; and from reputation and personal experience that on some hardware “Slackware-based” Puppys provide superior graphics and sound.
Despite the narrowing of my focus I do try to help those with other interests. In doing that I operate under a couple of assumptions. (1) Almost certainly true, like myself, other Puppy fans may not be aware of all relevant information; and possibly true, that I may be aware of some information of which another is not. (2) There’s efficiency and a certain elegance achieved by introducing people with overlapping interests but differing experience and concerns to each other and their work.
It was in that spirit that I sent you a private email. As you’ve publicly criticized me for doing so I’ll make it public. This is the text of my email:

IIRC, you're a fan of xfce. If so, you might want to take QuickPup64 21.08 BETA 5 out for a spin. viewtopic.php?p=27469#p27469
Although still in Beta, mistfire has done a really nice job of creating a Puppy with a great many builtin modern features that are identified in the OP. I took a look at it because of those.
The thing is I really do prefer JWM-Rox and don't want to spend the time re-learning how Xfce manages things.
Your experience could help smooth out any of Quickpup's remaining rough-spots.”
It took me far longer to write that it would take your to read. It was sent privately rather than posted leaving you alone to choose what to do with that information. If you weren’t interested than it would take you no further time to just ignore it; almost no time to delete it; and just a little more time to privately reply “Don’t currently have the time/interest”. Instead, you came up with a 4th choice: spend a great deal more of your precious time to create a public issue which otherwise would not have existed.
I did not know when I emailed you that your focus had narrowed to transporting Puppy to Chromebooks. I might still have sent the email as (a) Slackware can be employed in such projects, https://github.com/jakeday/chromebook-pixel-slackware and (b) the choice of what you would do with that information was yours.
You’re right: “We don’t really know each other”. But I now know a great deal more about you. We all do. Rest assured that I will ‘fuck off' and won’t waste any more of my time addressing your interests publicly or privately. But do cut down on your intake of stimulants.
