Hello Puppy enthusiasts!
I'm relatively new to the Linux scene, and even more so to Puppy Linux, but I've been able to revive several old laptops with various Puppies and that just scratches the perfect itch in my brain :) My most recent revival endeavor has been for an ASUS Chromebook C300MA (circa 2014 if Google is to be believed) and I have successfully converted it into a Puppybook running Bookworm64! However, the Chromebook is configured rather atypically for a laptop, mainly in the keyboard and I believe the lid function as well, so it isn't perfectly plug-and-play like a lot of the other laptops I've installed Puppies on. I did some poking around on the forums before making this post and couldn't find anything applicable to my situation, so I'm hoping I can get some assistance!
Rambly context aside, my main issues are finding the correct keyboard layout (tried the Chromebook layout, not sure what exactly all the keys are or if it's even the right one), getting the lid to properly suspend/sleep (perhaps even lock?) my Pupbook, and finding sound drivers/troubleshooting why my onboard speakers are not working.
More on the speakers: I attempted to test the audio with the preinstalled GTK Radio and all the speakers would do was pop at me and continue to be silent. Toggling different audio profiles didn't help anything either. I know the speakers work, as they were functioning perfectly fine on the stock ChromeOS.
Attached is a hardware report generated by PSI for further information. I am aware the battery is dead, I'm gonna order a replacement soon ;D
Thank you in advance!
