I just noticed my JWMDesk manager doesn't come up after I installed Calibre. I have a backup without the Calibre install before that which works -- and it does.
How can I troubleshoot it? I'm using BookwormPup64_10.0.6
Thanks

Exactly how did you install Calibre???
Specific details on what you did???
Are you saying if you click on menu ->Desktop ->JWMDesk nothing happens?
Have you done a complete power off/on reboot and still have the issue?
Is the save a save file or save folder?
If a save file.
Is it still showing it has some free space in it?
The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected

Specific details on what you did???
1. Install libxcb-cursor0 in Synaptic
2. Installed calibre:
wgt -nv -0- https://download.calibre-ebook.com/linux-installer.sh | sh /dev/stdin install_dir=/opt isolated=y
3. Fixed --no-sandbox error:
Made file called calibre-nosandbox
Added text to it: export QTWEBENGINE_CHROMIUM_FLAGS="--no-sandbox"
Placed it at: /etc/profile.d
Are you saying if you click on menu ->Desktop ->JWMDesk nothing happens?
No, it brings up a window with text and continues to say "JWMDesk Loading..."
Have you done a complete power off/on reboot and still have the issue?
Yes and yes.
Is the save a save file or save folder?
It's a backup save folder.
If a save file.
No.
Is it still showing it has some free space in it?
It's a dual boot and has >77 GB available space.
Thanks
what happen if you open a terminal and type
cd /usr/local/jwmdesk
./jwmdesk
@nilsonmorales
Here's what it gives:
/usr/local/jwmdesk/jwmdesk: line 3481: 22802 Trace/breakpoint trap $GTKDIALOG -p JWMDESK --geometry="$GEO" --styles=$TMPDIR/gtkrc.css 2> /dev/null
I installed calibre on a virtual machine for BookwormPup64.
It runs the command you suggested ok. It runs JWMDesk like it should.
Does the error message from the calibre install on a laptop help determine the problem?
Thanks
@JusGellin Looks like a gtk library mismatch. Or gtkdialog
version is not correctly matched.
I reinstalled calibre from a backup save before this install (what a great feature puppy has to do this!).
I set the calibre like I had before.
JWMDesk Manager worked like it should.
I must have messed up something on my last time I instaled calibre which affected JWMDesk Manager.
I'm good again.
Thanks to all of you who give advice and things to think about which help me try new ideas.
It looks like this occurred when I tried to autohide the tray. I couldn't do it from the menu so I tried from config file /root/.jwmrc-tray. That's when I couldn't access JWMDesk Manager anymore.
