It is not any of those.

It is JWM window manager and Rox-Filer pinboard providing the desktop.

It uses core Linux files and programs from Ubuntu Focal Fossa 20.04.6

This should allow software compiled for Ubuntu Focal Fossa to also work in Fossapup64 9.5, because they are using the same core files.

, tho there is no detailed understanding of the meanings of their implementation differences. they are boxes with labels, and i have no knowledge of what's in them, but i may understand how to use them a little. i just know they're different, and perhaps incompatible?

KDE uses the Ubuntu package base (deb)
and for good, the package base does not depend on the name, be it KDE, Gnome, Xfce.Может быть это будет KDE-Arch с базой пакетов arch

If you really want to know what they are.

Do a Google search:
What is KDE?
What is gnome?

Are you seeing them in the Puppy Package Manger(PPM) as possible software to install?
They are used in Ubuntu and because PPM can access Ubuntu repositories, you see them in PPM.
But KDE or Gnome software is not for Puppy Linux.
